Linking to other sites (
Anderson Community Schools)
- Copy the address of the site to the clipboard. (Shortcut is Control + C)
- Highlight the text you want to have the link.
- Click on the word "Link" in the tool bar
- Paste the link from the clipboard into the box "To what URL should this link go?"
- Click OK (You may want to test the link prior to clicking OK)
Linking to Google Drive (
example)
- Open the doc you want to link to from Google Drive
- Click on "Share" (Upper right hand corner)
- Click on "Get Shareable Link"
- Choose your sharing option
- Click on "Copy Link," then click "Done"
- Highlight the text you want to have the link.
- Click on the word "Link" in the tool bar
- Paste the link from the clipboard into the box "To what URL should this link go?"
- Click OK (You may want to test the link prior to clicking OK)
Linking to Google Calendars (
Embedded)
- Open your Google calendars
- Choose the calendar you wish to display. Click on the drop-down menu and go to "Calendar Settings"
- Make sure you are on the "Calendar Details" tab
- Copy the information from the box to the right of "Embed this Calendar" onto your clipboard
- Create a New Post
- Click over to HTML
- Copy from clipboard
- Save post (or Publish)
- NOTE: You can also link to your calendar as a web site.
- Go to Calendar Address (Just under Embed this Calendar)
- Click on Blue HTML button to the right
- Copy and paste the web address into a link.
Embedding Videos
- Find video you wish to embed and copy the embed code onto the clipboard
- Create a New Post
- Click over to HTML
- Copy from clipboard
- Save post (or Publish)

variety of functions.
- Access widgets from the Layout Screen - Blogger calls them Gadgets.
- Choose from many! (Basics, More, Add Your Own)
Snipping Tool - for adding pictures
- Windows 7 - Accessories
- Windows 8 - Search
- Be aware of copyright rules
Using Labels
- Great tool for narrowing a search or finding more specific info
- Must have the widget installed
- Must label each post correctly
The Menu Bar
- A "Link List" widget placed under the Header (displays links as tabs)
- Great tool for those sites or pages you want to make easily accessible
Collaborating
- You can give others permission to post on your blog
